Early in the morning, we will take a boat ride toward Los Tuneles, a natural underwater arches and tunnels formations that merge from pristine blue waters. You will explore the brilliant scenery and enjoy a wonderfull snorkelling time in this place consider the most beautiful place to snorkel. You will get the chance to see white tipped shark, manta rays, parrot fish, yellowtail surgeon fish, seahorses and green sea turtles. Returning to the hotel there will be time to relax and enjoy a time in the pool or at the beach.

“Las Tintoreras,” is a group of small islets full of hidden coves, surrounded by turquoise wáter. It is probably a small location but it is full of biodivesity. We will take a short boat ride toward the islets, the access and routes are easy. At the arrival we can do a short hike between the islets. Please remember to bring good hiking shoes. After enjoying the wildlife, we can go for an amazing snorkelling time. In this place it is possible to see sea lions, marine turtle, iguanas, manta rays, Galapagos penguin, as well as reef sharks. This bay is connected by a superficial crack with crystalline water which is closed off during low tide. At the end of the excursion, we will return to town to enjoy the beauty of the island or enjoy a relaxing time in the pool of the hotel.

In the morning we will drive to the highlands of Isabela, at the end of the road, we will begin our hike to this outstanding Volcano Sierra negra, one of the six volcanoes that form Isabela, it is also the most active one. Our hike along its enormous caldera will be a memorable experience where you will enjoy beautiful landscapes across a color-filled volcanic terrain and enjoy the famous native fauna and flora. From there we will walk around this enormous 30 square mile crater. If we still have the energy, we can continue walking to the Chico Volcano, a place with very unique scenery where there is a fusion of shades of red, oranges, yellows and blacks. Here, we can observe fumeroles and spectacular lava formations. You must be wearing good hiking shoes for this easy trail, that will probably present muddy sections and rocky terrain. You will need some rain gear and sun cream.

We will embark on perhaps the most scenically-varied bike in the Galapagos. Along the trail, we will bike through white sand beaches, mangroves, brackish lagoons, and a lava tube. The area is filled with giant tortoises and birdlife. Our effort during this revitalizing bike is totally worth it. At the end of the road we will visit “El Muro de las Lágrimas” (Wall of Tears), historical place used back in time when Isabela was a penal colony. Prisoners constructed a towering wall of lava rocks for no other purpose than to keep them distracted from the madness of isolation. We will end the day visiting the breeding center and hanging around the flamingo lagoon to admire the wildlife so close to us.

This tour starts in the morning when a vehicle takes us towards to the Highlands of Isabela to this marvelous place named “Campo Duro”. We will learn about the turtle breeding program this farm runs while enjoying the beauty of the place surrounded native by endemic plants. Later on, we will go through “Sucre´s cave”, a natural lava tunnel of 480 metres, where we will discover endemic vegetation all along the tunnel. Located in an agricultural zone of Isabela Island approximately 14 km from Puerto Villamil. Finally, we will head to “Mirador del Mango” a highland spot, where once a mango tree was planted (specie introduced to the Islands) and from where we may admire the landscapes of Floreana and Santa Cruz
